Jingle All the Way!

This one's a little naughty but FUN! I saw the sentiment in one of those Facebook photos that gets shared around, and instantly knew it had to go on a card. So I went & bought a few new Stamping Chef images &  got to work:

Supplies: image from The Stamping Chef; computer-generated sentiment; Spectrum Noir markers; Sakura Stardust glitter pen; bells!

A little fuzzy but you can see I've given her eyes, bust, and tattoo some glitz! And here's the photo I stole the sentiment from:

Trying to channel my inner Lauren...

...you know Lauren, the most amazing textural collagey-stitchy fabulous designer? So she shared the most amazing torn & stitched collage yesterday, and I thought to myself, SELF YOU CAN DO THAT. Maybe not exactly, but I had fun with it anyway!

Supplies: papers from Webster's Pages; chipboard from MME; stickers from Simple Stories; Antique Linen distress ink; doily, lace, and buttons from stash; Tim Holtz design ruler, embroidery floss

Both sides of the card are cross-stitched, but I've covered up the right hand side with lace. I 'aged' the doilies a bit with distress ink.

Supplies: papers from MME; bow sticker from Making Memories; EAD Designs rub-on sentiment; rhinestones from dollarama; green doily from Lauren herself!

I really really did have torn layers all over this card - and then I covered most of them up. It's the process, people. lol!

Thanks for the inspiration, Lauren! MWAH!

I'm popping these in over at Just Us Girls, having an anything goes challenge this week!

Tic-Tac-Toe

Challenges are definitely helping me stay on track getting ready for 3 sales this weekend! Taking a very quick break to post a whole bunch :)

This one was made using the tic-tac-toe grid at The Paper Players this week - I used the horizontal centre line of "patterned paper - embossing - snowflake"

Supplies: sentiment from PTI; snowflake from Stampendous; Versamark & Clear EP; Memento Gray Flannel ink; Tumbled Glass distress ink; paper from Carta Bella; classic small circle Nesties; bling strips from Dollarama

I wanted the paper to be the star - so pretty! - so I opted for a simple centre panel. The snowflake was stamped first, and then the sentiment was double-inked using Versamark & Gray Flannel, and embossed with clear EP.

Here's the board:

Shopping our Stash #179 - Free is GOOD reminder!

Our FREE IS GOOD challenge is going strong at Shopping our Stash - we have a two-week challenge this time around, so a few of the design team have some more eye candy for you! This time I played with some NBUS stamps that my friend Barb gave me quite some time ago - I've used the set, just not all of the stamps in it ;)

Supplies: stamps from Lawn Fawn (from Barb!); Spectrum Noir markers; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; patterned paper from Simple Stories; yellow glitter glue

Some masking to hang the stockings on the mantel, and this was a pretty straightforward card! It's also completely flat - the closer it gets to Christmas, the more I seem to focus on postal-friendly :)

Head on over to the SOS blog to see who else is playing today, and don't forget to link up your project using free goodies before next Monday, December 8th!

I cut the centre out of the pink piece used for the background to make the tag, and added stitching. Such a small detail but I love it :)

COOKIES!

It's just about time to start thinking about Christmas baking...I try not to do too much, because I sample. I really shouldn't, but I can only resist temptation so far :) When I think of Christmas goodies though, cookies are the first thing to come to mind, so I used this great Bugaboo image (the current freebie! Hurry & pick it up!) for the Jingle Belles challenge - and kept it simple for CASology.

Supplies: Dottie - cookie tray from Bugaboo; Spectrum Noir markers; glitter paper & rhinestones from Dollarama; Simple Stories sticker sentiment; Mod Podge Dimensional Magic

I glossed up Dottie's pretty shoes, her lips & earrings, and the cookie trays.
