I've been loving all the comments about the kids learning sarcasm - I mean, really, if we can't teach them everything, we can at least get the important stuff in there, right? On that note, DH was instructing them in the kitchen Saturday night....to gesture at the sky, and shout "SERENITY NOW!"
Both of us are so, SO hoping that they whip that little one out at school. Teachers need a laugh too :)
And now, some Father's Day cards...it's my nightmare holiday. I don't really enjoy making masculine cards (really? how odd, no one has THAT problem...) and a whole holiday where every card I make feels like it's not my best effort? That said, I think this little bunch are my favourites that I've made so far.

Jessi, you ROCKED Father's Day this year with these cards. I love them all!! Great colors, fun masculine touches. Nothing nightmarish in this bunch!!
ReplyDeletewhy on earth would you not like making masculine cards when you're awesome at it?! i looooove all of these, esp. the tree scene one: GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute Father's Day cards!! I especially love the businessman in the first one and the superhero in the last one.
ReplyDeleteFor someone that "doesn't do" masculine cards, it looks like you sure do them here! Love all those fabulous masculine patterned papers you used. I thought the trophy/tie one was my favorite, and then I saw "super dad!" Awesome!
ReplyDelete"That's a negative, Ghost Rider" and "You're killin' me, Smalls" get me every time a student says one, and I bet "serenity now" would have me giggling the rest of the period.
OMG!! What wonderful inspiration!! I haven't even started on my FD cards but thanks to you I have a few ideas!!! All your cards are sooo awesome...such cute images, beautiful papers, colors, and super details!!!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute cards! I love all your manly cards!
