Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger photo)
Today is the last day to upload for this challenge. I have really found it an inspiration this week - this was the second card I made, and I have two more!
Supplies: papers from Kaisercraft; die cuts, vellum, and resin egg from K&Co; sentiment stamp from Anna Griffin, stamped with Versamark and embossed with Stampendous Pearlustre Sapphire EP |
And the 'last' one (I'm not promising, but it's the last one I've made so far!) is a combination of things. One of the blogs I follow is Heather at Parker & Molly, and the other day she posted some cards she'd submitted to PaperCrafts. They're all fantastic, but the idea behind the last one really caught my eye. If you didn't go look already, go look now. I'll wait.
OK? Awesome, right?
So, I decided to CASE Heather's card, something that I rarely do. This week I'm really finding inspiration everywhere - which is lovely! I used the idea of the alphabet 'hi', and the birdie, and the polka dot border translated into using a dotty border piece & embossing folder. I also tried to use {gasp!} white space. Whoa.
In addition, I used Lisa Arana's sketch #1 for my layout. And the Trigger inspired my colour choices.
The sketch, from Dahlhouse Designs:

Wow, that flower is absolutely stunning! I love the gems, pearls, and quilling together. Both birdie cards are also fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOh my, what a LOVELY bunch of cards! That quilled flower is STUNNING and I adore your sweet birdie card based on sketch #1! The embossed background is just the perfect touch! You are rocking those sketches!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, Jessi, you were truly inspired by this week's Trigger! I ended up being inspired by it to make two cards myself. I wasn't taken with the photo at first, but then it really grew on me. All three of these are fabulous!! Your quilling always amazes me--that new approach to making the flower center ROCKS!!!
ReplyDeleteLove how it inspired you! the quilling card is amazing! I do also love the mix of pearls and gems! the layering is truly beautiful! the 2nd card's pattern and colors are perfect for the TT! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Waving hi from Waterloo!

Beautiful cards, but I'm so enamored of the second one. Just stunning!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty bunch of cards! Love the quilling (one day, I will try this!) but the bird card knocks my socks off!
ReplyDeleteYou've been super busy! There you go doing your amazing quilling again. I like the teal and blue bling, too. The second card is so dreamy and pretty. But you know I love the funky owl one the most. Love the letters! They're all so fab, though. You rock, Jessi!
ReplyDeleteLove that beautiful quilled flower! That's one technique I have never tried but I love seeing it on cards.
ReplyDeleteAnd your CASEd card is fantastic! Love the white layered on white and that cute little owl. :)
