As only one example, the tired sad old car died. Kaput. Bought used Blazer, had it for two days, the brake line busted today.
That's it. No more venting. Instead, I want to give thanks. Thanks that my kids are healthy, and that Rob & I are still kicking. Thanks for the gorgeous weather we've had for the last few days. Thanks for the roof over our heads, food on our plates, and unconditional love from our pets.
And thanks to those of you who keep coming back - I can't even express how much it means to me that you come back to visit.
So, to go along with my thanks, some cards for Thanksgiving and autumn.
The illustrations are from a Sandra Boynton daytimer that I recycled. |

I'm sorry that your week has been a bummer, Jessi. But good for you for willing yourself away from it and giving thanks instead. I really must tear that page from your book for myself!!! These cards are all so wonderful. My fave, though, is that Boynton one. I LOVE Sandra Boynton--my kids recently dug up my copy of her "Don't Let the Turkeys Get You Down" book that I bought way back in the 80s (I think!). So that's what I have to offer you today: Don't Let the Turkeys Get You Down!!
ReplyDeleteHi Jessi - wow what a week!! I was upset because I had a flat tire today - nothing compared to you. I hope you have a better end of your week.
ReplyDeleteTotally love your cards!! The first on is fabulous. I love the the stamped trees on the dp.
All of your cards are just wonderful. Autumn is my favorite time of the year and these cards really celebrate that.
Thanks for your inspiration.
Oh My You are so productive!! When do you find the time to make all these beautiful cards??? I LOVE the fall colors and your designa are absolutely FAB!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are all gorgeous but the first is my favourite! That plaid paper is so perfect for fall and I love how you stamped the trees on the other patterned paper. The glittery leaf is lovely and the funky fibres rock!
ReplyDeleteToo bad you had so much car troubles... Ubfortunately many times, if things go wrong, more goes wrong.. Hope better times will come now! Love your autumn cards, perfect colors! The last one is my fave! It's so cute! Funny images!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Wendy
