Supplies: paper & poem from We R Memory Keepers "Spookville;" pumpkin stickers from stash - maybe ATD? Click the pic to read the poem! |
This weekend I won't be at the Sackville Farmer's Market - as a rather last-minute change of plans, I'll be at the Zonta Fibre Festival Bazaar at the Tantramar Theatre on Victoria Street in Amherst, on both Friday and Saturday. The link there is to the full schedule of events for the Fibre Arts Festival - it started Tuesday, and wraps up on Saturday. There are so many exhibits and lessons to take part in, and this is only the 4th year. My friend Denyse had originally booked a table, as she makes the most lovely handspun and hand-dyed yarns and knitted items, and she is also participating in Art Across the Marsh (link to the list of participating artists) which takes place this weekend as well. Luckily, though I don't consider myself a fibre artist, I'm proficient enough and have items for sale that fit the bill. I've also been working hard on cards featuring textures, sheep, knitting & crafts, and sewing. It's been fun to focus so much on craft-related creating, and I'm really looking forward to meeting so many fellow crafters.
Time to get back to work - before long it's time to do the school run!
xoxo,
Jessi
Hi Jesse
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting my blog and your lovely comments on my cards. As you suggested I have added my card to the Moxie texture challenge.
Love your halloween card, in the UK we don't really do halloween but its fun seeing everyones cards.
Your fibre festival looks like a great event, I would love to go to something like that, not sure if they have them over here. Have a great time.
Sally
super fun! love those pumpkins and the fun paper!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous fun bright card! I am in love with the stack of pumpkins... how cute is the look on their faces!!
ReplyDeleteLove that pumpkin sticker and that fabulous background paper!
ReplyDeleteHave an awesome time at the Fibre Festival - sounds awesome!
Hee hee! The stripes are so fun and I love the pumpkin sticker--cute!! I can't get enough of the punny sentiments, so bring 'em on! :) Good luck with the bazaar and glad you're getting so much crafty time in.
ReplyDeleteOh, I must agree--Halloween *is* so much fun to craft for!! I never used to send Halloween cards, but I do like to send notes regularly to my extended family (all of whom live far away from us). Making cards that match the seasons changes things up for me, so now I always make a selection of Halloween cards to mail to my aunts, parents, in-laws, and sister. It's just fun!
ReplyDeleteHey--both of my kids learned that poem in kindergarten! It's perfect for this adorable Halloween card.I love the counting theme of the patterned paper to go with it!
OK, bring on the corny Halloween jokes--this weirdo is ready!!
Good luck at the Bazaar!!! And have fun. :)
What a fun card this is! Love the laughing pumpkins there!! Very nice! And no one minds receiving a card, I think, so you can make them for any occasion!
ReplyDeleteToo bad you don't have stamping friends living close, but crafting together, whatever you do, is so much fun as well! And with our blogging, we can share our stamping with the whole world!!! ;-D
Hugs, Wendy
Such a fun halloween card especially the stacked up laughing pumpkins! It is indeed nice to meet other crafters to get more inspirations but diving into someone's blog is also fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Jessie - love your card!! I totally taught this poem to my students yesterday and we drew pumpkins. They did a fabulous job! Just like you. Love the DP. Those faces are too cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your comments. I am feeling WAAAAAYYYY better.
