67 cards!
And only 12 of those were "sets" - six of one design, and three each of two others. Holy moly. And I'm itching to get back at my desk again, which is good news because the second Midnight Madness is this coming Friday night in Sackville.
Moxie Fab World has challenges galore running right now, and I've had most of them running through my mind as I sit & create. Today I have 4 different challenge entries to show you, all for different challenges going on, so it'll be a long post!
First up is this edition of the Tuesday Trigger: Red and Rustic, which finishes TODAY, so get crackin'! I found this a really challenging trigger, even though as soon as I saw the photo I thought "red...woodgrain...I think I have a piece of Basic Grey paper left!" Here's the Trigger photo:
...and here's my card:
Next up I have the project that I sort of sneak-peeked the other day when I posted the pic of my desk.
This one is for the Celebrating Hobbies Challenge, which ends on December 12 (my sister's birthday!), to incorporate sewing or its icons into your card. (This challenge also celebrates cameras & books, so there's loads of fun inspiration to be had. Go look!)
To create the sewn letters, I decided to use some Basic Grey letter stickers as a template. I didn't want to try piercing them right on the card since I thought that would perforate the stickers enough that I wouldn't be able to peel them back off afterwards. I used a piece of scrap paper, stuck the letters to it & pierced them, and then laid the scrap over the actual card to pierce & then sew the letters. Clear as mud again? ok.
I was going to just lay the piercer down, but it stuck in the mouse pad and I called it good, lol. |
Now for the Random Fun Challenge: I have two entries for this one, in two of the different categories. This challenge is to celebrate mustaches (um, what's not to celebrate? mustaches are awesome, except for mine. Thank God for Nair, I say), or buttons, or alcoholic beverages. Woohoo! Random fun, I'm all over it!
Supplies: papers from Prima "North Country;" chipboard deer from Bo Bunny; buttons from Basic Grey & stash; Vintage Photo distress ink; Tonic edge distresser; sentiment from Kaisercraft |
And for celebrating alcoholic beverages...something I definitely like to do, I have a card that I make at least one version of every year. The sentiment is handwritten, inspired by one in a Christmas set from My Favorite Things.
Moxie Fab World, so scoot over & see what tickles your fancy.
Thanks so much for stopping by :)
xoxo,
Jessi
