Tuesday Morning Sketches #154

Good morning! If you already follow the challenges over at Tuesday Morning Sketches, you know that once a month there's a challenge with a twist - follow the sketch, and include the twist :) This time around our twist is "Things with Wings", and we're being sponsored by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Their new July release went live yesterday, and oh my gorgeous, go have a look!

Here's the sketch that we're working with this week, designed by Melissa:

And here's my card:
Supplies: papers all from Basic Grey "What's Up;"
buttons from Basic Grey;
Peeled Paint Distress ink;
sentiment from My Favorite Things;
Sakura Stardust glitter pen;
ribbon from stash;
Cicely Mary Barker fairy illustration from stash

I traced the fairy's wings and the sentiment with the glitter pen.
I'm also playing along with the Crafty Creations Challenge #177, to follow this recipe:
3 patterned papers
2 buttons
1 ribbon
1 sentiment
The CCC challenge is open until tonight, and it was so perfect for this sketch I couldn't resist! I've pleated the sheer ribbon on the back of the polka-dot piece of paper, and then adhered the whole thing with foam tape. It makes me think of a little fairy skirt!

The TMS design team has created some amazing samples with this sketch - check out the main blog for all the challenge details, and to link up your creation before Sunday night. Don't forget to leave some love for these talented ladies:

Thanks for coming to visit!
xoxo,
Jessi
