I find nautical images to be one of my go-to standards for masculine cards, and I haven't deviated from that here:
Supplies: paper from My Mind's Eye; Memento Gray Flannel ink; sentiment from Annabelle Stamps; image from The Graphics Fairy; paper piercer, needle, and embroidery floss; Tonic edge distresser (LOVE THIS TOOL!) |
A closer look at the stitches & gently distressed edges |

Great masculine card and stitches on both corners indeed balanced it off!

ReplyDeleteHi Jessi,
ReplyDeleteOhhh I LOVE that graphic, I've used it for some projects too. I had a hoot of a time last night joining a twitter party with Karen from Graphics Fairy last night in fact!
Your card is FABULOUS - like its totally frame-able!

With boaters in the family, it's always handy to have a nautical card or two in the stash. I really like the vintage look of this one!
ReplyDeleteLovely work Jessi! What a great image!
ReplyDeleteYou can never go wrong with a good old ship and blue on a masculine card. FACT - Did you know that men don't even look at the front of a card? Well, I'm sure our husbands know that they must look... otherwise their next week won't be worth living!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! The colors are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! I too seem to do either lighthouses or other nautical themes for masculine cards. Only thing else is maybe wolves or lions! LOL
ReplyDeletebeautiful! pretty image :)
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous image, and you are right...they are a fantastic go to image for the "dreaded man card" and this is a beauty....if you may combine those words with masculinity! :-) Well done my friend! You make it look easy!
