Supplies: papers from Simple Stories "Summer Fresh;" Bazzill Basics cardstock; Old Paper & Vintage Photo distress ink; Burlap stamp from Market Street Stamps; sentiment from Hero Arts |
I didn't want a plain white background, but I'm also out of kraft paper & nothing else really matched, so I sponged Old Paper distress ink over the whole sheet. Then, learning from the other day, I hit it with the heat gun & left it alone for a while! Stamped over that with the burlap background in Old Paper & added the squares, and then trimmed to size. Last minute thought was to outline each square with a brown Staedtler pen. I've had those since university...those things last forever!
Supplies: Momento Gray Flannel ink; We R Memory Keepers washi tape; All Night Media feet stamp; Versamark, Squeezed Lemonade distress ink, clear EP; Stampin' Up! sentiment stamp |
Shiny embossing :) |
If you've got some crafty time today, Pamela's challenge is open until midnight tonight, and she'll announce the winner tomorrow.

Great cards Jessi! The patchwork look is just fab, and the sponged bg has turned out perfect!
ReplyDeleteOh, sure. I go into Reader to reduce the crazy number to something reasonable, and I end up adding more blogs. ;/

Ohhh love these! I could never get all the squares to cooperate! I would end up with a mess! I love the colors too on the second one!
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect Jessi! Using my fave paper pad...love it. Everything's so perfectly aligned too. My OCD is happy...thank you. The second card is so sweet. The colors scheme is perfect.

Love the neat quilt on your first card. And the embossing on the second! Wow! You've been on a roll with these challenges!
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe you made the almost-kraft layer on the first card -- wow! The mix of patchwork squares is great, too. And the embossed little feet are too cute! (And the leafy paper is made of washi tape? Yowser!)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Great mix of patterns with the first card and I love the bright color palette of the second!
ReplyDeleteThese are both wonderful!! I love that baby foot stamp!! The inking on the patchwork really makes it pop, too!!
ReplyDeleteLove them!! You did a great job with both of them! Thanks for playing along with my sketch challenge! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I really love the quilted look on the first one!
ReplyDeleteBoth wonderfully executed! The first card is amazing! I would have made a big mess out of that sketch! You rock! (But you know I think so) ;-)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd have the patience to ink paper like that and I sure as heck wouldn't be patient enough to wait for it to dry properly! LOL! Love the papers you use for the squares - they totally have that quilty feel. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that leaf layer is washi tape - you laid it out perfectly!
