CAS(E) this Sketch #10

I'm having a time of it with cards lately - as you can probably tell from how quiet the blog has been. Getting my crafty mojo back after the holidays & being sick is apparently taking a while. I've made 2 baby blankets...but I'd like my PAPER mojo back. If you see it, send it home. I promise not to yell ;)

When I saw the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch! this week, I had an idea right away - which hasn't happened in what feels like AGES - so I quickly got to work before I lost it. And then I got cocky & made some other things that are now pretty trash, and went & took a cranky nap...I even tried sewing buttons onto  a card you'll see tomorrow (in its 3rd incarnation) and messed up so badly on the first button that I had to cut the thread & start over. 

Some days you're the bug, some days you're the windshield, right? I firmly believe in admitting defeat at moments like that!

Anyhow, here's my card (THIS ONE I like!):

Supplies: Paper Smooches stamp; chipboard from Fancy Pants; patterned paper from Sassafras; Vintage Photo distress ink; my NEW CORNER CHOMPER!; yellow & brown gems

And here's the sketch - the deadline is tomorrow at noon:
 
Beautiful and versatile in its simplicity - I can see going back to this as a classic layout again & again.

Did you also see that Jackie is beginning a new blog venture called Muse? You must go check it out - I'm intrigued & excited to see what's around the corner!

    I can see why you like this one, Jessi! Everything about it is perfect :-). If I see your mojo, I will definitely send it back home. I have Dry stretches like that sometimes, too, so I know what you mean. I am sure you will be back on top soon!

    It looks like your mojo was definitely present for this card. It's so fresh and pretty, Jessi. Love the green and yellow and the perfectly placed gems. ann

    Hi Jessie, I think creative mojos go off together at holiday time but mine is back and it looks like yours isn't that far away either, I love your take on the sketch :0)

    It will come back. Just pretend you don't want it to and it will bowl you over trying to get it's foot in the door! :)

    And so jealous about your Corner Chomper! I bought one at Archiver's thinking there was only one Corner Chomper out there. Instead I ended up with one that does decorative corners. SO annoyed!

    Wow!!! I LOVE this card!!! So CAS, and amazing!!! I'm glad you feeling better!!! I'm having a lack of mojo too! Its like most of my cards are blah, with one or two good, but they are a struggle! Hopefully we will both get the mojo back soon!!! :)

    I know what you mean about no matter what the Mojo just doesn't want to cooperate. ;) The aged texture of the background paper and the yellow/gold flower are so pretty together! So glad you played along with us Jessi!

    Perfection! Love that it's CAS but still has a warm, homey feeling. That's hard to do sometimes:)
