and here's my card - I've turned the sketch 90 degrees for a vertical card.
Supplies: papers from My Mind's Eye (from the lovely Tammy!); another fun hedgie ssticker from Penny Black; sentiment stamp from Paper Smooches; Gray Flannel Memento ink; Timeless Twine; button from Basic Grey; Corner Chomper.
(an aside about the Corner Chomper - I notice it makes a rather rough cut - is that normal?)
And now for the roadblock....I went to sit down at my desk yesterday morning, and saw this:
Kleenex. Lots and lots of Kleenex. The culprit? Maggie the cat. She may be cute, but her current love of disemboweling Kleenex boxes has GOT to go. While pulling all this tissue out, she also knocked over the jar where I keep tools & scissors, pulled pens out of the box, knocked over the recycling bin, etc. I've cropped the picture of the complete damage because otherwise I'd be sneaking future design team information (on the left, behind my Distress inks, is where I clip up the following month's worth of DT assignments).
And while I was holding the camera, someone else had to come and say hi:
If I'm taking pictures, Miss Abby must be the subject, right?
This sketch will be open until next Sunday, January 27. Make sure to hop over to the design blog and see the amazing creations by all my teamies:
xoxo,
Jessi
PS - Don't forget to play along this week over at Scrapbooker's Paradise #100 - there are 3 prize packs up for grabs. With a broad challenge theme of "Celebration," it would pair up beautifully with this sketch :)
That is too funny! Mine looks like that, but it's usually from a small boy who well we won't go there.....
ReplyDeleteYour card is adorable! Another sweet hedgy! Love how sweet it is! Love the twine and the colors too!
Your card is so sweet. I really like the little Hedgehog images, and you've used this one perfectly.
ReplyDeleteHad to smile about the tissues. We have a young Beagle who seems to enjoy the same sport as your kitty-baby! Unfortunately, my Copper doesn't always limit his antics to tissues!
Hedgie is insanely adorable, Jessi! I would chat more, but there is a pile driver at work 40 feet from my front door today. Dictation is only picking up every other word :-(. Hoping that the inevitable headache from all the racket holds off until after school today.
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny - but of course only because it wasn't my cat who did it :) I see your super cute card in the photo - still intact. My cat likes to chew card corners and destroy ribbon and twine (so the craft room door stays closed).
ReplyDeleteYour card is really adorable.
Hugs, Dawn
Love the pastel colours you used for this card and your coloring is perfect, Jessi! Ooops! Looks like someone have a lot of cleaning up to do! Say hi to Ms Abby to me - she is so adorable!
ReplyDeleteseriously what is it with dogs and tissue and toilette paper? My dog is always doing this.. I don't get it..
ReplyDeleteYour card is so adorable..
Maggie was just trying to help, right? Same with Abby, I'm sure. But anyway... sweet card! Love the muted colours and background mats.
ReplyDeletelove that sweet image! great coloring and use of the sketch. ...disemboweling...hahaha!! sorry it happened, but happy you shared ;)
ReplyDeleteYour cat's antics made me laugh!! Though I am sorry you had a mess!! Our cat just made our house smell bad today... he singed his long haired tail on the door of our pellet stove!!
ReplyDeleteAlmost forgot... your card is really sweet!!
You know, I saw this sketch and it just didn't jump off the page at me. I love what you've done with it.
ReplyDelete(1) Cat: Get one of those tissue box holders so she can't rip up the box. Get a plain one and you can decorate it. :)
(2) Dog: So cute it should be illegal.
Hilarious, I wish my cat was so easily entertained lol! BTW, sweet sweet card Jessi!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Love the soft pastel colors! And too funny about your kitten!
ReplyDeleteOh Man, Jessi! I have a grandson that likes to do that with the tissues so they are all up high...and then i can't have any bathroom doors open because my cat eats the toilet paper on the roll..takes big bites of it! Makes me wonder what is in the toilet paper! Your card is so cute! I love that image!
ReplyDeleteLove the hedge, the soft colours of the papers and the cool way you wrapped the twine!
ReplyDelete"Disembowelling" the Kleenex boxes?? Sorry but it's pretty hilarious!! At least there were no open bottles of anything to knock over!
