Supplies: snowflake & circle stamps from PTI; sentiment from AmyR Designs; Memento Gray Flannel ink; Distress inks in Peacock Feathers & Tumbled Glass; Studio G clear glitter glue; teal rhinestones from Dollarama
This is the first time I've tried stamping with glitter glue - I used a paint brush to smooth it onto the stamp, and cleaned the stamp in between every time so that none would dry on the stamp. It was time consuming (and hard to photograph!) but stunning in real life. Just the right amount of subtle shine. I love the bokeh trend & can see me using it a LOT for Christmas cards this year.
Here's Janet's gorgeous card - I was inspired by the circles on her tree, and the blue & white colours, and smidge of sparkle on the star!
You have a little longer to play - the MUSE link up is here.

Jessi

ReplyDeleteWow! Jessi this card is absolutely stunning! Love the touch of glitter and you nailed the bokeh effect!
ReplyDeleteoh ♥WOW♥!!! now see, that's waaaaaaaaaaaaay too cleaning-intensive for me; and frankly there's a chance i could become adhered TO THE CARD before it was finished... but it's GORRRRRRGEOUS and i'm totally jealous of your extreme skill AND patience!!! (& the fact that you DO NOT seem to be adhered to the card in any way, lol!) :)
ReplyDeleteLove your card, I'm a sucker for the colours you've used and snowflakes! Hugs Bev x
ReplyDeleteWonderfully light and floaty - perfect with those snowflakes. Thanks for playing at Muse Card Challenge

ReplyDeleteWhat a sensational take on the Muse card, Jessi!! It's such a shame that sparkle is so hard to photograph since so often are cards are FABULOUS in real life! I've never tried stamping with glitter glue ... hmmm. Hugs, Darnell

Love! Great inspiration pic, and great take on it, making it your own. It definitely reminds me of bokeh.
ReplyDeleteBEautiful! You tried the Bokeh! YEA! I love your result! I have some I did I hope to use later. Great take on the Muse too! I wanted to do it but ran out of time with the trip and all. I'm so in stamping withdrawals already! I still have a week left before I get back home and in my craft room! But it's great to see my son! But Oklahoma is just too freaking flat for me! LOL
ReplyDeleteI LOVE how you took the circles from her tree to create a circle background...way to use the inspiration perfectly! Love the scattered snowflakes and layout. Just beautiful!
