Fusion Butterflies

Even though I found my ideas slow to translate to paper this week, I was lucky to make several cards that I absolutely love - you know that feeling when it turns out exactly as you'd hoped? This one, inspired by the current Fusion challenge, is one of them:


Supplies: Martha Stewart butterfly punch; PTI sentiment; Versamark; Stampendous White detail EP; Ranger enamel accents; Tim Holtz ruler & piercing tool; embroidery thread; lots of vellum




I punched out 16 butterflies & adhered them with a teeny dab of my Quickie Glue pen, just enough to keep them from sliding around. I then used my Tim Holtz design ruler to pierce the stitch lines. The sentiment strip ended up wanting to be over one row of butterflies (you can just barely make them out under there in the full-size photo). The enamel dots were made on a scrap piece of acetate, and then when they were dry I glued them onto the sentiment strip.
