I haven't forgotten my personal pledge to play along in all the
jingle belles challenges this year - but being away for the month of March got me so far behind I can see my own rear end! Instead of trying to catch up with the ones I missed now (with Mother's Day breathing down my neck, lol) I figured I would jump back in with the current challenge & work on catching up over the summer. SO, here's my card using a recycled greeting card & some scavenged ribbon from some pajamas! My hubby knows that's my favourite gift - and he even knows to choose the one with pretty ribbon tied around it if he can't decide. What a guy :)
Supplies: recycled card front & ribbon; gold mirror paper; corsage pin & beads
I bent the end of the pin so that I could tuck it into the cardinal panel & tape it to the back to keep the sharp part covered. The birds were even pre-glittered!

Jessi

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Christmas card. I have never seen the red cardinals. But if they are half a beautiful as this, they make my list! Keep smiling and creating,my friend.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous way to upcycle a Christmas card! I keep all those cards that charities send... I need to start doing this! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card! And so earth day friendly. I keep saying I need to get a higher quality of friend, who sends me Christmas cards worthy of recycling like this and not dollar store rejects. LOL! Or could it be that most of the cards I get are homemade?
ReplyDeleteWow--what a great use of the beautiful cardinal card, Jessi!
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful "save" from last year's xmas cards AND pajamas, lol! and you've used them both to perfection--what a gorgeous card. thanks for joining our earth day fun at JINGLE BELLES! ♥
ReplyDeleteps: very clever to forget about catching up and just leap back in... i mean, these are all "extra" cards in a sense; every one you get done before december is a BONUS!!! :)
I'm a PJ lover too ... and the ribbon wrap is an extra bonus ... so very glad you celebrated Earth Day with us at Jingle Belles.
