Supplies: Daisies stamp from Flourishes; sentiment from PTI; Cuttlebug embossing folder; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Purple Twilight Adirondack ink; yellow glitter fabric paint
The shimmery green/blue/purple piece has been sitting on my desk for months, as had the piece of vellum. I had tried to use the vellum on a Christmas card, but the sentiment didn't show up well enough - and the ink smeared when I tried to wipe it off, so I knew I'd have to use it on something where I could cover it up. The daisy panel was stamped this way because I was planning on cutting out the three full daisies to pop them up on another card, and decided against it. The blue fabric peeking out was a similar thing - I thought melting it would produce a better match than it did.
I could probably make another dozen cards with just leftovers...I should probably clean up my desk :)

Love this card. The flowers are so pretty and the colors are great. The embossed pattern is amazing. Thank you so much for joining us at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Blog! :)

Way to go all freestyle on this card! Everything just goes together. How the heck did you DO that!!?
ReplyDeleteSuper job on working with "stuff" on your desk. I like when it all comes together like that. I need to clean up my desk too.
ReplyDeleteWOW Jessi, I love how you used that LARGE daisy stamp from Flourishes! love the stamp but was never sure what to do with it. TFS
ReplyDeleteLove the less is more approach to coloring the flowers. Very effective. Thanks for popping by
ReplyDeleteAnother just gorgeous card! I really like how you've echoed the dry embossing on the two different surfaces. And the flowers? Perfect.
ReplyDeleteI'm terrible at using up the leftover bits (or as you call them the nope-doesn't-work-on-this-card bits). I did figure out how to use them up though--I put them in a baggie and give them to a lady in my stamp club. She loves left over bits as she loves the challenge of doing something with them. She also does tons of punch art, so if all else fails she punches up the piece. Anyway, great card! Your leftovers are way cooler than mine anyway. Love that fabric ribbon, fancy schmancy.
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous! Glad you got to use up those scraps that didn't work on other projects! Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Our Creative Corner! Love from Laura xxx
