Well, I did exactly that with this week's CASology prompt. When I was finished I looked at it & went "oh, I guess I DID have an idea!"
Supplies: Paper Smooches sentiment; Versamark; Stampendous White Detail EP; Antique Linen distress ink; Wilton doily; Studio Calico wooden hearts; classic small circle Nesties; paper unknown
I found the woodgrain paper a little too yellow, so I softened it by sponging it with Antique Linen. I sponged the sentiment & circle panel as well after embossing. I absolutely LOVE the font of this sentiment!
Here's the cue card:

That happens to me all the time but by the time it :clues in" the challenge is over. thanks for the tip on dulling down the yellow woodgrain paper (think I have some Now I know how bad my vision is, I couldn't even see the sentiment but finally saw it, yes it is a great font. and great use of the doily.

Like Barbara, I usually realize a card will fit *after* the challenge ends, ;) This is perfect -- clean and simple and wood-related and pretty!

ReplyDeleteLove this sweet card - the hearts and doily work together to evoke a very romantic feeling! So glad you joined us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteThe sentiment is so subtle I almost missed it. Der! It's RIGHT THERE. I love it and yeah... you must be the only one who decides they can't think of anything for a challenge and then makes a card perfect for it. Yep, I never do that.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Jessi! Love the doily & great way to tone down the yellow!
