Home & Heart

This time of year I like to have a few "new home" cards on hand - it seems to be a popular time to move (which makes sense because moving when there's snow on the ground? NO.) I put one together for this week's CAS Embossing challenge at The Kraft Journal:



Supplies: light & regular kraft card stock; stamps from PTI; Kraft ink from PTI; Versamark & copper EP; embossing folder from Sizzix; Nesties labels die; May Arts twine; buttons from stash


I just picked up the copper embossing powder last week, and I have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot of it in the next little while! I wanted to use both dry and heat embossing on my card, and looking through my folders thought this one was perfect for the theme.

    Beautiful CAS home card, Jessi! I know it makes sense to move during this time of the year. I remembered I had to move house on the 14th Feb at -11 degrees celcius when we were in Helsinki! Not a very nice experience!

    When we lived in Northwestern ON, we moved in January once. And I was 7 mos pregnant!!! Never again!!!!!

    Your card is wonderful!! Some smart moving-in-warm-weather person will love it!

    I absolutely LOVE this, Jessi! This is a favorite stamp set of mine, and yet I don't own it. I bought the coordinating die cuts from PTI some years ago, and never got the stamps, but they are on my wish list for sure. Your card is LOVELY, and has the perfect touch of kraft for our challenge.     The copper embossing powder is awesome stuff ~ it looks great on your card! And summer is the most ideal time to sell and buy a home so it is good you are making a few extra cards here!
