Shopping our Stash #210 - Paper Piecing!


Paper piecing is one of those classic techniques that I sometimes forget about - good thing there are challenges like Shopping our Stash to remind us of the good stuff! Using digital images for paper piecing is a little bit more labour-intensive at the beginning but totally worth it - looky!



Supplies: bird & sentiment digi stamps from From the Heart; papers from MME and Studio Calico; Spectrum Noir markers; MME enamel dots 



A close up to show you his eyes & beak are popped up - I added some colour to the hats, but yes, I paper pieced the polka dots on his belly. Crazy!

    Ooooh, digital? That's a lot of printing! Also, why I don't do much digital. ;/

    ok, BEST SENTIMENT EVER! plus that birthday... ummmmmmmm... chicken (??!) is SUPER cuuuuuuuute!!! (great idea to paper piece digis; same amt of cutting but no stamping... & you can make it ANY size!) :)

    Quite awesome paper-piecing going on here! (I probably would have taken a short-cut and coloured the dots, so kudos to you!) And the sentiment is quite perfect, isn't it?
