Shapely Snowgal!

OK, so I will fully admit - when I saw that the current challenge at jingle belles was to create a shaped card? My heart sank. I don't *do* shaped cards. Because I sell my cards, I find it MUCH easier to keep everything the same size - that way storage isn't an issue, and neither is pricing. (I can't even imagine setting a different price for every card....gah!) HOWEVER, I have stuck with the jingle belles all year long, and I was not about to let that streak end either. So, out of my comfort zone I went - big time - and LOOK! It's so touchable!

Supplies: large circle crocheted mat (available here);  Paper Smooches stamp set; Memento Gray Flannel ink; Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder; Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass & Spun Sugar; Bic Markers; Doodlebug Crushed Velvet flock in white & pink; Shabby Pink Frantage embossing powder from Stampendous; bling from Dollarama; classic small circle Nesties

This was messy & fun to make - the background layer was debossed, and then inked with pink (hah, still enjoying how that sounds out loud) and then blue. While the Distress Ink was still wet I sprinkled on the Frantage powder. It was only after adhering the panel to the card base that I thought to add the bling around the edge....that made it a bit more painstaking, but hey. We must occasionally suffer for our art, n'est-ce pas? The snowgal was stamped on a separate piece of paper, trimmed out, and then I added the white & pink crushed velvet flock for some super soft woolies.

Of course I am also going to pop this in over at Paper Smooches SPARKS - at this point I actually have more than one post a day left in me for that challenge. My PS sets have been getting a heck of a workout :)

xoxo,
Jessi
