Shopping our Stash #127 - Use Something on Your Desk

True confessions time - this challenge was hard for me. Not because there's nothing on my desk, though - because EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS ON MY DESK! I have a corner of a room - so every inch is covered in stuff. To be honest, though, if I HAD a dedicated craft room? It would probably still look like this.

trust me. I know where EVERYTHING is, unless I was just using it. That stuff I can never find. God, it looks even worse in the photo than it does in real life...how IS that?

So, since I obviously have PLENTY to choose from (and a fondness for CAPS today, what's with that? lol) I decided to go with something that had been sitting on the desk a loooonnnnng time - this little red cameo.

Supplies: Papers from MME; flower stamp from PTI; sentiment stamp from Paper Smooches; Webster's Pages cameo & trim; Barn Door distress ink; Sakura Stardust gel pen; Corner Chomper; green rhinestones from Dollarama

So the total of things that were on the desk:
-distress ink
-dies
-cameo
-stardust pen
-paper smooches sentiment stamps
-Corner Chomper
-paper pad

I had to reach for the trim, the PTI stamp, and the rhinestones. That's it. I know, I need help.

Come & play along with this challenge until next Monday, November 18th hop on by & leave the rest of my teamies some love!

xoxo,
Jessi

  1. Wow, Jessi looks similar to my Butterfly Garden! Love the LO for the beauteous red flower. I have a Monday night crop in my Garden so....I am forced to clean up once a week, but....I put 'the left overs' in a plastic basket....got lots of plastic baskets...every where.

  6. Thanks for sharing the picture of your desk! It makes me happy to know I'm not the only crafter with a messy desk. :) I love your card. The three circles and the floral background work well together. Very pretty!

  7. How on earth did you get a picture of my craft space?! LOL! My craft space is one half of a tiny room. The other side is taken over by our treadmill. Trust me, if you have more space, it just means more stuff everywhere! LOL! Love your card Jessi!

  10. *snort*. What a desk!!! Mine looks like that as I am working, but you can see my space from the main living room so I HAVE to clean up after myself. Otherwise it would look like yous too. So fun you had lots of options for this challenge. Heehee.

Beautiful card too. I love that flower stamp.

  11. I would feel right at home at your desk! I just recently got my own little corner, before I just worked at the dining room table. Some day, when the kids move out I will have a craft room. Until then I'll be happy in my little cluttered corner!

  14. Jessi, I am so proud to say you are my teammate! I'm a little bit OCD, so my drafting table can only be messy for a while and I either have to clean it up or take a pill! :D) I have an entire room and some days, the whole room looks like your desk. I take a lot of pills!

Your card is fabulous and I love the cameo, such a sweet touch! Great work and funny POST!

  17. my worktable TOTALLY looks like that while i am working, and yeah, it does seem like the more recently one has touched an item the more thoroughly it is able to hide itself! ♥LOVE♥ the things you found and especially what you did with them! yowza!!! :)

  18. Beautiful card,I really like the colours you used. I have a whole room and it looks like your desk. I have a desk I work in a 12 inch space and a HUGE table 5 feet long by 2 feet wide and I'm lucky to find a space for the cuttlebug, it certainly isn't big enough right now for the big shot. Not sure I would post a pic lol. but thanks for sharing so we know we are not alone.

  21. Ha ha! My table looks the same - except for that box of kleenex taking up valuable space that could be used for crafting supplies :) The only thing I can never seem to find is the adhesive. I had it a minute ago??!!

Your card is beautiful, pretty paper, trim and bling! Hugs, Dawn
