PPC #69 - Inspired by Kids

This week at Playing in Paradise, we're being challenged by Merlie to create something inspired by these fun kids:
PPC # 69

Inspiration challenges are my favourite for exactly the reason you'll see when you check out the design team's creations: we all went in different directions! So much room for interpretation :)
I decided to make a card for a robot-loving kid:
Supplies: papers from Bo Bunny;
birthday sentiment from Doodlebug;
standard small circle Nesties;
spots & dots Cuttlebug embossing folder;
star dies from My Favorite Things;
London Fog Memento ink;
robot sticker from Recollections;
googly eyes
To make the planety-moon-thingy (highly technical term!), I ran some scrap grey cardstock through the Cuttlebug, and then swiped the raised areas with grey ink to highlight the "craters." I could swear I first saw the idea on Emily's blog but I couldn't find the card I was thinking of.

Remember, when you play along with us at Playing in Paradise, there is always a fab prize up for grabs - every single week! Make sure to head over to the challenge post to see this week's guest designer, as well as the details on the challenge. Super simple - use what you want, make what you're inspired to make, share it with us by noon on June 7th  :)

And don't forget to check out what the other designers have been up to!

xoxo,
Jessi

  10. SQUEAL!! I LOVE this, Jessi!! Everything about this is fun, fun, fun. :) The googly-eyed robot alone would have made this the BEST card, but to combine him with all of those great Bo Bunny papers? Amazing creation! I think you may have been thinking of this card:

    But I used buttons to stamp the craters on my card--I like the look of your craters SO much better: the embossed circles are perfect--and swiping them with ink to really make them stand out is GENIUS!!
