Good morning! We have a super-fun prize up for grabs at Tuesday Morning Sketches this week - you have got to go check out the awesome goodies that Debbie has put together for one lucky player! Here's my card:
Supplies: papers from MME "Reunion;" Jenny Bowlin butterfly (from Barb!); Paper Smooches sentiment; Vintage Photo distress ink
To make the 'pinked' edge, I trimmed along the pattern of the paper. Easy-peasy lemon squeezy! I've left a bit of white showing at the top & bottom of the card to pull in the white from the butterfly square, and edged that square with brown ink to draw IT back to the paper.
I know I've done this before, but since she did it again I'll show you again:
Note that her ear is inside out....and that this photo was taken about a millisecond before she bumped the bottom layer of my high-tech setup and it all pancaked. As for the rest of the desktop, looks like it's the maid's decade off. *koff*
Here's the sketch this week:
This sketch will be open until next Sunday, February 24th. So, what did everyone else make?

I love the way you cut the bottom edge! Such a simple idea but one I'd never think of! LOL! And the white square behind the butterfly is perfect - really makes it pop.
ReplyDeleteAtti's ears are always inside out - I'm forever flipping them back! And your photo set up looks about as high tech as mine. :) Hey, if it works...
Great high tech set-up with the sweetie on the foreground!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful take on the sketch and love your zig-zag border!
This is beautiful. I love it. Great work:)
ReplyDeleteToo funny with your dog. We have a computer Kat, I don't let her up, but the kids do, so when I sit down, she figures she should be right there. And if you look closely at some of my photos, you will see copious amounts of cat hair. I too blame the absent maid. LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a great week Jessi
Love how the butterfly coordinates with the patterned paper. And I think it's practically miraculous that you got your photo taken _before_ your helper arrived!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful butterfly!! I love how you cut the edge!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here visiting and commenting when I really had planned to be cleaning my craft room! What's that saying about "a neat desk being the sign of a sick mind"? I'm not sick at all! :)
Very pretty! I love the papers you used and the butterfly is perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh you made me laugh--& my high tech set up looks just like yours except I have the addition of an Ott lamp on the edge of the table with the cord where the dog or I can trip over it! Your card is wonderful--love the papers & that is such a gorgeous butterfly!
ReplyDeleteHilarious, I just filmed a video and while I was colouring my kitten decided to get up and have a peek at what was so wonderful.... and it wasn't so she left. Aren't they such a big part of our lives. ps love the card!
ReplyDeletetoo funny~ Love your card dear~ I can't even move in my space right now. No time to clean when there is the next project to finish. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Jessi! Love your attention stealing pup too! My maid took this decade off too! LOL! Having my work space in the living room now doesn't help either, but the basement was just too cold.
ReplyDeleteLove this, Jessi! Great mix of patterns and textures...the bling is the perfect accent too!
ReplyDeleteLovely combination of papers. Your card is wonderful. I like the simplicity of the butterfly and the details you've used from the sketch.
ReplyDeleteSweet, Jessi...love the picture with the dog..you are one talented lady.
