Seize the Sketch #24!

Thanks so much!

This week at Seize the Sketch the talented Vicki is our sketch artist - and she's designed a grand simple one that's easy to dress up! I decided to spend some time colouring & thought this layout was perfect for a detailed fairy.



Supplies: digi stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps; Sakura Stardust glitter pen; yellow glitter fabric paint; patterned paper unknown; Spectrum Noir markers: blender; LG2; FS7,8,9; PL2; BT2,4, 5; PP2; CT2, 4; OR1; EB1,2; GB2; TN2




To create the background I coloured it in with a single marker (PL2) and then went over it with the blender pen, and then used the blender pen again to make dots. My first time trying that technique & I love how it turned out. I'm also happier with her hair than I have been lately - slowly but surely practice helps!
Her eyes & the hummingbird are glittered with the Stardust pen, and the lilies have yellow glitter fabric paint to jazz them up.

    Good lord you do a fab job with colouring! That fairy is gor-geeee-ous!!!
    Love the bright colours in the floral background paper as well!
    OK so next visit needs to include colouring lessons LOL

    The lilies look great with touches of glitter, and I think you colored this image very well, Jessi! The dots in the orchid color have a neat effect, kind of like water stained. Very cool!
