Shopping our Stash #100 - Mother's Day or PINK (gah!)

Back again! Not only is it Mother's Day this weekend, but the local university celebrates convocation weekend as well. The little town of Sackville swells up with all sorts of proud parents, friends, and students - and the market kicks off its summer season with the closure of 'our' block of Bridge Street. It's a big party :) I've been busy making loads of MD and grad cards, so I have 4 to share with you for today's Shopping our Stash challenge:

Make a Mother's Day card OR use pink as your primary color (at least 60 percent of your project should be a shade or shades of pink)

I decided to make 4 cards with the same stamp - the gorgeous rose from Stampin' Up's "Fifth Avenue Floral." All four cards use that stamp, Versamark, and embossing powder. Here's the one from the main blog:

Other Supplies: papers from MME; Tiger Lily glimmer mist from Tattered Angels; 'Mom' stamp from Paper Smooches; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; black Glaze pen from Sakura

Other Supplies: papers from Stampin' Up; Candy Apple Red glimmer mist from Tattered Angels; Barn Door distress ink; Memento Gray Flannel ink; PTI sentiments

Other Supplies: Picked Raspberry distress ink; classic small circle Nesties; buttons from stash

Other Supplies: paper from MME; Yellow Daisy glimmer mist from Tattered Angels; AC Thickers letters; PTI sentiment; Memento Tuxedo black ink; black rhinestones

To colour the three misted flowers, I used a modified 'floating reinker' technique. I use regular cardstock (instead of glossy), emboss two flowers, and spray heavily with the mist (enough to see small pools form). It takes overnight to dry but gives a great variegated look with a single mist colour.

This Shopping our Stash challenge is open until next Monday, May 13th - hop on by & leave the rest of my teamies some love!

xoxo,
Jessi

I just love posts where people showcase cards using the same image! I love the inspiration from what small details, a change of color or a layout can do to a card. A great inspiration for using the things we already have got in our stash:)
