Shopping our Stash #102 - What's in your Tool Shed?

So here's a coincidence for you - just as I opened up the tab to write this post, a huge clatter came from downstairs. The sound of dozens of tools hitting the concrete floor in the basement....and a panicked cat running away. So right now, there is nothing in my tool box. It's all on the floor.

These are the fun things I can tell you when I'm live-blogging instead of pre-scheduling. Isn't that great? *sigh* Anyone want a slightly used cat?

Back to the business at hand! This week at Shopping our Stash we want you to
find a tool (punch, cutter, piercer, crimper,  crop-a-dile, eyelet setter, embossing folder, etc) that you haven't used in ages or ever and use it.  Be sure to tell us what it is!
This one was easy for me - I don't think I have ever used my eyelet setter often, because I have an old-school one. The kind you use with a mallet. And I tend to craft when other people are asleep. This card was made in the wee hours of Saturday morning...luckily the kids went back to sleep afterwards!

Supplies: all paper supplies from Kaisercraft; eyelets from ancient stash

I also used lovely bright colours to go along with the current jingle belles prompt, Merry & Bright.

What tools do YOU have that are collecting dust? Come & play along with this challenge until next Monday, May 27th - hop on by & leave the rest of my teamies some love!

xoxo,
Jessi

i think you're a bit too hard on said cat, who probably only wanted to borrow a crimper so she could enter the SOS or JB challenge... or BOTH! b/c you are such an awesome inspiration to her, what with how this is ♥GORGEOUS♥ as well as stash-using AND tool-using AND totally totally *MERRY* and the absolutely best type of BRIGHT ever!!! so there! i think miss kitty deserves an apology, don't you? and maybe a roll of tp to shred in celebration??!?!?! (ps: you did actually make me, in mr. monk's words, "lol out loud" today!!!) ♥♥♥

I love my old-style eyelet setters precisely because I get to pull out a hammer. :P What a great not-quite-traditional Christmas card, and the eyelets are such a fun addition.

Jessi, this is so cute. And I am in the same boat...I have the metal punch and hammer to set my eyelets and when hubby is sleeping and I'm crafting...well, I just don't use it hardly ever anymore. --Gail

Bet that clatter scared one of the lives out of said cat! LOL! Jessi, love your card: the non-traditional Christmas colors, the bright eyelets that match, the design...fabulous!

Poor cat; she probably used up one of her lives dodging scissors! lol

Loving your Merry and Bright card; the paper is fun and the eyelets go perfectly.

Love this cheery card-way to go on the eyelets- I am severely handicapped as an eyelet setter. I usually have it all bent out of shape....but I love them. Fantastic card!

Fun Christmas card!!
Yeah, I haven't set an eyelet in many moons! I have the "silent setter" that makes a loud enough noise to raise the dead!

I sold my eyelet setter in a garage sale a few years ago. Instead of making a clean hole, it warped my paper and it was more trouble than it was worth. But I do like how they look on your card! They are really cute!

love the way you made the most of that pretty paper and picked out the elements with your matching eyelets! cute

NICE! I got the Crop-a-dile years ago and I haven't gone back to the hammer since. I still HAVE it, though. :)

I had a CAT DOWN moment last week when he got into something that came crashing down around him. Sometimes it's the contents of the linen closet, sometimes it's something in the crap room, but it's always funny (to me). :)

LOL! Luckily kitty didn't end up with a hammer to the head! Love the fun and funky colours on your Christmas card and how perfectly the eyelets match the paper.

Love the cheerful colors.

Poor cat!

Sometimes your posts are funny and sometimes they are hilarious!!! this is one of them :0) Setting eyelets the old way when the kids are in bed is called revenge :0)
Perhaps thats why the cat ambushed the tool box.. Lol :0)
Fab card, love the fun colours and eyelets.
