The measurements are as follows:

Large Circle: approximately 4 3/4" in diameter (excellent for square cards!)
Small Circle: approximately 3 7/8" in diameter
Large Oval: approximately 4 3/4" long, 4" wide

And how to use them? Check out my creations by clicking here.

A mini tutorial:

The front of the mat - the crocheted scallops curve upwards just slightly.
On the back of each mat, you'll see two strands of thread.
Secure the threads using foam tape or other dimensional adhesive.

Using the coordinating size/shape, cut a panel to fit in the centre. (If you don't have punches or dies for this,
let me know - I can send some with your mats!)

Using your favourite adhesive, stick the DECORATED panel to the centre of your mat. This allows you to
stamp, colour, or embellish without worrying about getting the mat dirty. I usually layer with white, but used kraft
in the picture for clarity.
I use Spellbinders Nestabilities dies for these, from the following sets:

Lacy Circles (2 largest dies)
Lacy Ovals (largest die)
Small Classic Circles (2 largest dies)
Small Classic Ovals (largest die)

The size of the panels - for a LARGE circle, your panel circle should be 3.5" in diameter. For a SMALL circle, your panel circle should be 3 1/8" in diameter. For the OVAL, your panel oval should be 3 3/4" long and 2 3/4" wide. Any dies/punches that give you those sizes will work!
