SNOW at CASology!

I know I've said it before, but the closer it gets to Christmas the more I enjoy making the funny and irreverent kind of Christmas cards. I made two cards with this image, and I will warn you now - the second one has profanity! The cue card at CASology this week is snow, and so I'm entering the first card there. I'm entering both cards over at Naughty or Nice...because, well, look at this bird's face. And the second card is perfectly naughty, and on its way to one of my Snarky Sisters who also lives in a snowy region :)

So here's the first, tamer card:

Supplies: Digi stamps from From The Heart; Spectrum Noir markers; patterned paper from American Crafts; yellow velvet flock from Doodlebug; Mod Podge Dimensional Magic

I added gloss to his eyes & beak, and fun flock to his feathers, but couldn't get a clear shot in a close up!

And the not-so-simple, definitely naughty card (remember, profanity warning!)

Supplies: Digi stamps from From The Heart; Spectrum Noir markers; patterned paper from Crate Paper; yellow velvet flock from Doodlebug; Mod Podge Dimensional Magic; letter stickers from jillibean soup; Tim Holtz design ruler & embroidery supplies

Now that is something I'm much more likely to say mid-shoveling. In fact, last time I had to clear the driveway I was using the snowblower, and the snow was so wet it was like moving wet concrete. I definitely said that, and a few other choice things. (For what it's worth, the snowblower not only weighs more than I do, and scares the crap out of me - but kept getting stuck & wouldn't go into reverse. Having to tug that GD thing out every time it got stuck...ohhhhhhh the bad words. GRRR.)

xoxo,
Jessi

HA! Even though I'm a bit strange and actually enjoy shoveling snow (it is my only form of exercise, it's peaceful and quiet, and no one bothers me because no one else wants to do it!), I do get a good chuckle from your cards! I love the Glossy Accents, a great touch! Thanks for joining us at CASology!

Ha! I could see where a few choice words would fly when shoveling snow. Your cards are fun Jessi! I love how you colored the image.

I've never shoveled snow, never been round it much really... gotta say that I'm a bit of a sun bunny, it's been hot and humid here at the moment and I'm lovin' it! We always spent our Christmas days at our cousins swimming in their pool, that's what feels 'normal' to me lol. LOVE your fun cards Jessi! Have a great Chrissy with your family, Hugs Therese x

Very funny cards, and I'm so thankful I'm in Florida and no longer have to deal with the snow, but I've sure done my share of shoveling and swearing usually in that order.
Merry Christmas!

These are funny, and I'm sure my husband was grumbling some profanity under his breath last year too after all the snow he had to move! LOL I should get this image and make him a similar card - he'd never expect that! LOL Fun stuff, thanks for the chuckles ;)

Ha ha ha love it, hubby loved it too. Great Winter card I'm sure there are a lot of people saying that word and more. So far so good this year. I'm sure we will pay for this green Christmas.

Yes, I think both these cards qualify for the Naughty or Nice challenge on the naughty side. :D They are awesome! Thanks for joining us with these! I will catch up on more later... getting the obligations out of the way first... ;)

Your cards are so awesome! I love the profane one. It would make me laugh to receive it and I don't even have to shovel snow.
