Supplies: papers from Graphic 45; buttons from Jesse James; sentiment stamp from ditto; Palette Noir ink; standard small circle Nesties; Ranger Antique Linen distress crackle paint; |
Use a solid font & any permanent ink to stamp on top of the crackle paint (a more delicate font may blur) |
To stamp on top of the crackle paint, I played with the piece left over before stamping on my circle - since it was already glued to the card - to see what worked best. With the Palette ink that I normally use, it did blur a tiny bit, but I think it works with the crackle. I blotted with a tissue to make sure I wasn't going to smear it with my big meaty hands, and then finished the card.
So how do YOU like to play with texture? Fun Flock? Glossy Accents? Embossing, felt, the ideas and options are practically endless! There is always a generous prize for our challenge winner, and excellent odds of winning - but you can't win if you don't play :) There are no product restrictions for Playing in Paradise challenges, which is still one of my favourite things about it - create what you are inspired to create. Our challenges always end on Thursdays at noon - for the Texture challenge you have until June 14th.
Don't forget to check out what the other gals have been up to!
Have a fabulous weekend!

Jessi

I love the crackle effect on projects and yours is AWESOME!!! I need to buy more as mine didn't survive the move and time in storage last year.

Hi Jessi,
This is pretty! Love the crackle paint with this image, fits perfectly with the car! I've never tried this myself, but it looks interesting! I use my impression plates when I want texture, and I guess that's about it, hi hi, not so creative in techniques... Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog!
