First of all, check out this pretty picture -
I rarely print out inspiration pictures. Instead, I write down what inspires me about the picture - in this case I wrote down 'grey and white floral pattern, red velvet, woodgrain.' Overall this photo gives me a feeling of warmth - like in the other half of the room there's a fireplace crackling away, and an elegantly decorated Christmas tree in the corner. And yes, I went with a Christmas card:
Supplies: acetate overlay from Stampin' Up!; grey cardstock from Bazzill; grey brad from Basic Grey; 'crochet edge doily' die from Our Daily Bread; red velvet paper from stash; snowflake & overlay & rubon & die from the amazing Barbles :) |
Hop along & see what others are inspired to do with this Trigger, and upload yours by Sunday night!
Be right back with my Playing in Paradise post - and a truly fabulous BLAST FROM THE PAST photo :)
xoxo,
Jessi

well this turned out elegantly fantabulous. Love the pop of red...awesome take on the trigger!
wow so pretty...the red just pops...
This is fun! Love how the white on the red pops!
Very elegant! DOn't you love this color combo and YES ok to love your own card! LOL I do it all the time! Good to know what will adhere to velvet too cause I sometimes have problems with that.
Another challenge I too saw and plan to participate in (hopefully). Back from my trip and 2 weeks before kids and family descend upon my house for U.S. Thanksgiving! LOTS to do! And still trying to get my shop up!
Have a wonderful anniversary weekend!
Jess this is drop dead gorgeous!!! That overlay is perfect!!! All of these rub-on sheets are from EAD Designs...the paper smooches ones...i think i wrote the name of each sheet on the back of each sheet.
Yowzer! Perfect! Love the background that echoes the wallpaper in the trigger, and the whole elegant feel of the card.
Elegant card, Jessi! Love the bg print and love your choice of the red pop-up velvet!
