100 challenges! Woohoo! That's a definite cause for celebration. I love playing along with CASology, and I knew I HAD to join in this week. My card didn't end up nearly as CAS as I'd have liked because I had a classic opportunity for embellishment.
Let's just say that WOOHOO! was not what I said when my marker slipped while edging the last side of the panel. *koff*
So now what? I had already worked on this baby for a half hour. I wasn't going to trash it & start again.
Supplies: Paper Smooches cat & sentiments; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; Versamark; Clear Detail EP; Bic markers; Tim Holtz stencil; Distress inks in Barn Door, Squeezed Lemonade, Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves.
I tried all sorts of embellishments but finally decided on the punched circles - nothing else looked even close to right that close to the edge of the panel. But then it felt like there was a big hole in the design - and enter the nutty kitty! His full body was too much, so I decided to have him peek in on the fun.
My intention going into this card was to practice ink blending - I've just used red, yellow, blue, and purple. Rainbows say celebration to me :) Anyway, this was a bit of a gong show in the making, but I do love the crazy cat poking in, even if he wasn't part of the original plan!
xoxo,
Jessi

I'm glad that you did not throw this card away, Jessi! Love everything about it. The bg is fantastic and the peeping kitty!
A party card for sure Jessi, loving that cheeky cat!
Jessi, thanks for the well wishes, it is always great to see your cards in the CASology pool! Way to salvage this card, I actually like the black circles and that fun cat image! Thanks for playing alomg as we celebrate at CASology this week!
Nice save on the card! The big circles are perfect with the polka dots and I always love the nutty kitty! Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!
Great save! If I'm going to screw up a card you can bet it will be like this--after I've put a lot of work into it. I love the card. The nutty kitty pulled it all together--kitties tend to do that.... or be the reason you screwed up in the first place.
It's always the fourth side, isn't it? Can't be the first line, where there's a chance it could be cut off and easily rescued. But excellent save! Of course there needed to be a cat. Awesome stencil inking, too.
Gong show in the making! Bwahahaha! I love your sense of humor, Jessi, and think you did a masterful job of saving this time-expensive card! I LOVE that karazy kat photo-bombing your design, too! Any NBUS on here so you can enter my challenge? I think one of Simon's is "anything goes," just so more people can karack up out loud and marvel at your creative genius!! Hugs, Darnell
Great design & fun card, Jessi!
